COVID Protocol for ROCKtoberfest:
  • Socially distanced circles,10 feet in diameter and 15 feet apart, will be provided for families to view entertainment. Circle selection is first-come first-serve upon arrival. We recommend 4 adults per circle to enjoy comfortably.
  • Masks are required for entry/egress. Masks can be taken off while in your circle to eat and drink. Masks must be worn when leaving your circle regardless of reason.
  • Both Parks and Rec and the Darien Arts Center will have staff/volunteers onsite to enforce social distancing and mask protocols.
  • Signage with social distancing and masks reminders will be present.
  • The Health Dept. will be providing extra masks to offer those that may have forgotten theirs at home.
  • Anyone who refuses to wear a mask will be politely turned away.
  • Brightly colored volunteer t-shirts will be worn by both P&R and DAC volunteers/staff to answer questions and ensure rules are followed.

  • Preregistration is required to attend.
  • Hand sanitizer will be available at check-in table.
  • When families register, they must state quantity of family members attending. This number will be checked upon entry.
  • Capacity will be set at 200.
  • Check-in process: There will be two check-in tables at each parking area for entry. Attendees will be split into two lines at each location by last name. This way, we will separate the crowd in half by where they park, and again by last name to reduce chance of congregating. We will also have signage in front of each of the check-in locations spaced 6 feet apart to ensure social distancing occurs in the event of a line. We will also have staff/volunteers present to monitor and enforce.

  • Portable restrooms will be marked for social distancing while waiting. Every unit will be equipped with hand sanitizer.
  • Signage will be placed along border of event discouraging attendees from approaching the fence bordering the Ox Ridge Hunt Club where horses/riders are located.

  • Announcements will be made reminding attendees to stay in their circles as the last performance concludes. We will then release families by circles/rows to exit the area. We will also offer a reminder to put their mask back on prior to exiting their family circle.

Portable restrooms will be provided.
