THE DANCE PROGRAM
THE DANCE PROGRAM offers a wide variety of classes for all ages and levels in what is considered to be one of the best dance spaces in Fairfield County. The studio features a resilient hardwood floor, excellent lighting and enclosed reception/waiting area. The DAC Dance program is one of the largest in Connecticut, with over 600 students, and also houses the Darien Arts Center’s Martial Arts program.

Our dance curriculum is designed to focus on the joy of dance, first and foremost. Technical proficiency is a goal for dance students as they continue their training. In the introductory program for ages three–five, students explore rhythm, music, creative expression and basic coordination skills in addition to dance vocabulary and positions. Classes for intermediate and advanced level students focus on technique but always include creative exploration.

The thriving Martial Arts program has produced many black belts and has instilled discipline, healthy work habits and values to many students. Our objective is to provide an enriching learning experience that the students will carry with them throughout their lives.
