Talent abounds in the latest production by DAC Stage with performances from Broadway veterans and experienced professional actors. Jacques Brel is Alive and Well and Living in Paris boasts impressive vocals that have graced Broadway, including those of Nicholas Barasch, who has appeared in the Broadway productions of West Side Story and The Mystery of Edwin Drood. He performs with DAC Stage through the courtesy of Actors' Equity Association, the Union of Professional Actors and Stage Managers in the United States. Also on stage are Peter Green, Larry Reina, Betsy Simpson, Lisa Spielman, Julie Thaxter-Gourlay and Danielle Valdes, talented voices whose experience includes performing on traveling tours of Broadway shows, backgrounds in professional training, and depth of experience in community theatre.

The play, based on Jacques Brel’s lyrics and commentary, and translated into English by Eric Blau and Mort Shuman, will be performed at the DAC Weatherstone Studio. The sterling cast brings Jacques Brel’s music to life in a setting that will transport the audience to a Paris café in May of 1960. During the performance, round cabaret tables, small plates of food provided by Browne & Co, plus fabulous music all contribute to recreating a different place and time.
