Darien, CT — The Darien Arts Center (DAC) is excited to announce that registration is now open for its 2026 Summer Camps and Classes. Families are encouraged to take advantage of a 15% Early Bird Special on Dance Academy and Visual Arts camps, with discounted tuition already reflected in listed prices. This limited-time offer ends March 15, after which camp tuition will increase.
DAC’s summer programming spans dance, visual arts, music, and theater, offering enriching arts experiences for children, teens, and adults in a supportive, creative environment.
The DAC Dance Academy anchors the summer season with camps and classes for dancers of all ages and levels. Young dancers can explore movement through Dance Beginnings, Pre-Ballet, and the popular Petite Dancers Camp, while older students deepen their training through Youth Dance & Art Camp and the Intermediate and Advanced Dance Intensives. Teen and adult ballet classes are also available throughout the summer, with flexible walk-in options.
Visual Arts Camps are a highlight of DAC’s summer offerings, providing hands-on creative experiences in painting, drawing, collage, clay, cartooning, and mixed media. Programs such as Good Morning Art Camp and Cartooning Camp encourage imagination and skill-building in DAC’s spacious art studios. Several visual arts camps are designed to pair seamlessly with dance programming, allowing families to create a full-day arts experience.
Families seeking a full-day option for younger campers may also take advantage of the Summer Bundle: Art & Petite Dancers Camp, designed for children ages 3–6. This thoughtfully curated bundle combines Good Morning Art Camp with Petite Dancers Camp, offering a balanced day of creative exploration and movement. Following the conclusion of Good Morning Art Camp, DAC instructors will safely escort campers from the visual arts studio to the Weatherstone Studio to begin their dance session. A 10% bundle discount will be applied beginning March 15 and continuing through the remainder of the registration period, providing added value for families enrolling in both programs. The Summer Bundle is available June 8–11 (Week 1) and June 15–18 (Week 2).
Theater students can step into classical performance through Midsummer’s Shakespeare Camp (The Acting Gym), an immersive acting program for rising sixth graders through high school students led by professional actor and director Brian J. Carter. The program culminates in a final scene sharing for invited friends and family.
In addition to camps, DAC offers summer music instruction in piano, violin, flute, harp, percussion, voice, French horn, banjo, bass, guitar, and trumpet for students of all levels.
With limited space available and strong demand across programs, families are encouraged to register early and secure the 15% Early Bird Special on Dance and Visual Arts camps before March 15th.
