Darien, CT — March 2, 2026 – The Darien Arts Center Dance Academy (DACDA) will present its annual Mixed Rep performance on Saturday, May 2nd at 6:00 p.m., offering audiences an engaging evening of dance that highlights the versatility, artistry, and technical growth of the DAC’s pre-professional company dancers.
A cornerstone of the DAC’s spring performance season, Mixed Rep features a thoughtfully curated program of classical, neo-classical, and contemporary works, allowing dancers to demonstrate a wide range of movement styles and artistic expression. This year’s performance will include excerpts from A Midsummer Night’s Dream, alongside a restaging of Tremor by East Coast Contemporary Ballet, among other works.
The Mixed Rep performance showcases dancers from the Company, Apprentice, and Trainee levels, reflecting the depth of training and artistic development within the Dance Academy. Through this production, dancers are challenged to adapt across styles, collaborate with peers, and bring both traditional and contemporary repertory to life on stage.
“This performance is a true celebration of our dancers’ hard work, creativity, and the range of styles they’ve mastered,” said Claire Mazza, Dance Director at the Darien Arts Center.
Designed to highlight both technical precision and expressive artistry, Mixed Rep offers audiences a unique opportunity to experience the breadth of talent within the DAC Dance Academy. The performance underscores the Darien Arts Center’s ongoing commitment to providing high-quality arts education and meaningful performance opportunities within a supportive, community-centered environment.
The performance will take place at the Darien Arts Center, Weatherstone Studio at 2 Rensaw Rd, Darien, CT. Tickets are available to the public and can be purchased HERE
