The Darien Arts Center is excited to share a creative opportunity for local students through Swim Across America – Fairfield County’s Make Waves T-Shirt Design Contest, celebrating the organization’s 20th Anniversary of making waves to fight cancer.
The Darien Arts Center Dance Academy invites the community to experience So We Think We Can Dance (SWTWCD), an original performance created entirely by students in the DAC Company, Apprentice, and Trainee programs.
The Darien Arts Center awards this $2,000 scholarship to a DHS senior who will continue their study of visual arts or design in college. It is not necessary that the student declare art as a major at this point, as long as he or she plans to take art courses. The award is given in memory of Virginia Wright, a talented artist, dedicated volunteer and generous benefactor.

On November 1, the Darien Arts Center proudly marked its 50th Anniversary, a milestone made possible by decades of community support, dedicated volunteers, passionate instructors, and generations of students who have brought creativity to life in our studios and on our stage.
An evening of performances and recognition will celebrate those who have helped shape the DAC’s past and present.
